Motorcycle showrooms (West Yorkshire)
Our client is a leading national retailer of motorbikes. Due to the continued growth of their business, they needed additional showroom space.
LGS were asked to price the scheme using our cold rolled steel frame. We were also asked to price the groundworks and the client wanted an insulated brick and block wall up to 2m around the building.
We were successful in winning the work and designed, supplied and installed one of our cold rolled steel frames with insulated cladding. We also coordinated the groundworks and other building works.
The site was extremely tight in terms of size, and the building was a wedge shape. It was also adjacent to the existing busy showroom, so disruption had to be kept to a minimum. Our cold rolled system was ideal as it is precision engineered offsite, and therefore requires no heavy plant or cranes. We were also able to save the client money on foundation costs versus a traditional structural steel frame.
The finished building looks very attractive, and we have secured further work from the same client.
