LGS were approached by the client after we successfully completed an extension to their current premises.
They had a site earmarked for industrial development. The demand was there for units in the area, but ground conditions meant the build cost using traditional methods had proved too expensive to give a realistic ROI.
Our cold rolled system seemed ideal, and we worked up a specification which enabled them to maximise the site area and massively reduce the foundation costs.
The build uses our cold rolled steel frame and Kingspan Group composite panel cladding, insulated to full building regulations standard.
We also supplied and fitted insulated 3 phase roller doors, PA and fire doors, and glazing.
Our cold rolled system is precision engineered offsite, requires no heavy plant or cranes, and there are no welding or wet trades involved. It therefore has less environmental impact, produces far less waste and is much faster and cleaner to build. Ideal for a small site such as this.
The result is a smart building which enhances the local street scene and provides much needed business space and employment opportunities.
