Furniture Showrooms – North Wales

Our client is a very highly regarded retailer of designer furniture. Their showroom and offices had reached the end of their useful life and were not fit for purpose.

The client’s architect obtained planning for two, much larger buildings on the same site.

They needed to continue trading throughout the process.

LGS Projects were awarded the contract, and working with the client, we came up with a plan to demolish one building on site, build a new cold rolled steel framed building, which the client would then move into. The existing main showroom could then be demolished, and a second larger cold rolled steel building constructed. The client could then move into this and rent out the first building.

This all meant we had a very tight site to work on, which was exacerbated by a large retaining wall to the rear. In addition, we had to work carefully around the existing retail business. Our cold rolled system was ideal, with no heavy plant, no wet trades, no welding, and a fast, efficient build process.

We designed the foundation & drainage as well as the buildings themselves.

Both finished buildings look superb, and the client is absolutely delighted. He has provided references for us, and we have won other large orders after potential clients visited his site and spoke with him.
